Oppo has officially unveiled its latest smartphones, the Oppo Reno 12 and Reno 12 Pro, in China on Thursday, May 23. These new models boast impressive features, including quad-curved displays, 50-megapixel triple rear camera units, and 50-megapixel front cameras. They run on Android 14-based ColorOS 14 and come with an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance.

Oppo Reno 12 and Oppo Reno 12 Pro: Pricing and Availability

The Oppo Reno 12 is priced in China at CNY 2,699 (approximately Rs. 31,000) for the 12GB + 256GB model. The 12GB + 512GB and 16GB + 256GB variants are both priced at CNY 2,999 (approximately Rs. 34,500), while the top-tier 16GB + 512GB version costs CNY 3,199 (approximately Rs. 36,800).

The Oppo Reno 12 Pro starts at CNY 3,399 (approximately Rs. 39,000) for the 12GB + 256GB configuration. The 16GB + 256GB and 16GB + 512GB variants are listed at CNY 3,699 (approximately Rs. 42,500) and CNY 3,999 (approximately Rs. 46,000), respectively.

Both smartphones are available for pre-order in China through the official Oppo website and other online retailers, with sales starting on May 31. The Oppo Reno 12 is available in Ebony Black, Millennium Silver, and Soft Peach (translated from Chinese), while the Reno 12 Pro is offered in Champagne Gold, Ebony Black, and Silver Magic Purple (translated from Chinese).

The Oppo Reno 12 and Reno 12 Pro feature 6.7-inch full-HD+ 1.5K (2,772 x 1,240 pixels) curved OLED displays with a 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, up to 1,200 nits peak brightness, 2,160Hz PWM dimming rate, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection.

Under the hood, the Oppo Reno 12 is powered by the 4nm octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 8250 Star Speed Edition SoC, while the Reno 12 Pro houses the MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ Star Speed Edition chipset. Both models come with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage.

In terms of optics, both smartphones are equipped with 50-megapixel main sensors, 50-megapixel telephoto cameras with up to 20x digital zoom, and 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensors. The Oppo Reno 12 features a Sony LYT-600 primary sensor, whereas the Reno 12 Pro comes with a Sony IMX890 main sensor. Both devices also sport 50-megapixel front-facing cameras.

The Oppo Reno 12 series is powered by 5,000mAh batteries that support 80W SuperVOOC fast charging. Connectivity options include 5G, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, Beidou, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, and USB Type-C. The smartphones also feature an IP65 rating for dust and splash resistance, and include in-display fingerprint sensors for security.

With these robust features and competitive pricing, the Oppo Reno 12 and Reno 12 Pro are set to make a significant impact in the smartphone market.
